Kolob Canyons of Zion National Park
Kolob Canyon area is located in the north-west part of
Zion Nat'l Park. The entrance is just off the Highway 15, exit 40.
For a short visit, driving along the 5-mile road going along the canyons
is the best way to get an overview of this place.
The road to Kolob Canyon |
The drive lets you see magnificent views of the canyons, from different points and distances.
The best time to take good photos is afternoon, when sun is lighting the mountains from the west.
Beatty Point of Kolob Canyons |
If you want to take a closer look at the canyons, there are a few trails in this area, including
the one to the famous Kolob arch (arguably the largest free-standing arch in the world).
